Vladimir Naumovich Vapnik (born 6 December 1936) is one of the main developers of Vapnik–Chervonenkis theory, the father of statistical learning theory, and the co-inventor of the Support Vector Machine method.He received IEEE Frank Rosenblatt Award in 2012.
