The All India Archaeological Service Association familiarly known as ASA is a well established composite service Association looking after the service conditions as a homogenous group of all Non – Gazetted cadres in Archaeological Survey of India since 1963. This Association has come into force and shall continue to maintain its status – quo ante i.e., composite cadres of Non – Gazetted posts in A.S.I. as per the doctrine of Rules of CCA (RSA) 1963 vide Rule No. 4. The Secretary General being the elected leader and Chief Executive shall taken up the problems of all Non – Gazetted cadres with the Secretary/Director General/Head of Office for redressal and also submit proposals to the Government. ASA constitutes the highest body called as “Central Working Committee” with the Secretary General being its Chief Executive. The Office bearers of the C.W.C. consists of elected members and shall be among the delegates attending the All India Convention held once in two years to be extended up to a maximum of three months only. The CWC shall have due representations from the cadres/category/circle/branch/region as far as possible. To enable the members to focus their problems from all over the country, the territorial area of the country shall be divided into five zones viz., North, South, East, West and Central.
