The College has obtained permanent recognition from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Bangalore (F.SRO/NCTE/B.Ed/2006-2007/15873 Dated 11-12-2007. It was affiliated to Bharathidasan University by its Reg.No 038813/D6/2008 Dated 4-3-2008. From 1-7-2008, it has been affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teacher Education University (TNTEU)under Tamil Nadu Act 33 of 2008 and GO Ms 256 Higher Education (K2) Department 25-06-2008, TNTEU/R/ Affiliation /2008 441 The College is located at a distance of around 6 KM from Pudukkottai Town on Pudukkottai – Kudumianmalai road in Perumanadu village in Pudukkottai district. The College is built in the midst of sylvan surrounding. To fulfil the aspirations of the chairman Shri. V.K.Sundaram to reach the unreached the college has become an oasis of higher learning to the under privileged population of this area.The College of Education has been established with the sole aim of bringing out dedicated teachers in whom knowledge of pedagogy and professional skill are essential and important but far more important is the teacher as a person, his philosophy and attitude towards society and social issues.
