St.Xavier's High School, Jajpur Road is the only C.B.S.E. affiliated school in the Steel hub of India; i.e. this locality is surrounded with 15 nos. of Steel Plants such as- Tata Steel, Visa Steel, Jindal Stainless Steel Ltd., Mesco Steel, Nilachal Ispat Nigam Ltd., Maithan Ispat , Rohit Steel , K.J.Industries, Dinabandhu Steel Ltd etc. It is affiliated to C.B.S.E. (Affl. No.1530114) from April 2009. It caters to the public interest of the locality and provides good qualitative education to the children of the society. It is sure that it is providing and will provide education to the children of those parents who cannot afford to send their children away for higher studies. Ours is the only one school in the whole district affiliated up to Senior Secondary level in both Science and Commerce to fulfil the needs of the students as well as parents who cannot afford/ do not want to send their children far away for higher studies as there is no C.B.S.E. affiliated Senior Secondary School within a radius of about 100 kms.
