About Institution

The Vigyan Vichakshan Jain Bal Mandir was inaugurated in 1970 with classes LKG & UKG in a rented building. in Vaidhyarama Iyer Street. Sri Kewalchandji Khatod donated Rs.10,000/- for the school. The school was named after venerable Jain Sadhivis Vigyansiriji and Vichakshansiriji.
The Rajasthani Jain Samaj has long felt a need for a school for the girls of the community, who wanted education in Hindi Medium or English Medium and which would spread its roots, deep in our soil and draw sustenance from our heritage and culture, and the moral values common to all Indian religions.
The dream became a reality when the members of Sri Madan Raj ji Mootha family offered a donation of Rs.2,00,000/- for the high school and Sri Kewal Chand Khatod came forward with another donation of RS.81,000/- for the primary section. The school was inaugurated on 10th June 1977 by the eminent educationaist Kulapathi Sri Balakrishna Joshi and functioned for the first year in the same premises.
Meanwhile, a vigorous drive was launched under the leadership of Sri Kushalchandji Galada for the collection of funds, for the purpose of locating the school in a suitable place and the foundation stone for the high school building was laid by Sri.M.Lalchand Jain on 15th December 1977. The school building consisting of four floors and 19 rooms was completed in a record time of six months due to the tireless efforts of Sri. S. Suganmalji Jain and Dr. C.L. Metha, the Managing Trustee of the Educational Trust then. The new building was declared open by his Excellency Sri Prabhudas Patwari on 25th June 1978.
On the same day, the primary block was inaugurated by Late Sri. R. Bhawarmalji Bothra who donated Rs. 51,000/- and the 2nd floor with 6 rooms was added in 1989. A new block with 15 rooms and 2 storeys was built during the year 1992-93. The block is named after Smt. Bhawarbai Amolakchand Rakhecha. 10 more rooms were built in the primary block in 1999 satisfying the long felt need.
As the number of sections and strength of the school increased over the years, in 2003-04 a new administrative block of 3 floors was built to accommodate the spacious library, English laboratory, conference room and 2 language rooms. Our thanks are due to Sri.Jumermalji Nehar and family who donated Rs. 5,71,000/- and the block has been named as "Srnt. Suwadevi Jumarmal Nahar Block". In May 2005 lab for Home Science was established.
"Technology aided learning is the buzz word in our school. To cater to its ever increasing demand, a 3,500 sq. ft. airconditioned TAL Auditorium fitted with LCD projector and audio-system, and an enhanced air conditioned Computer Laboratory with 25 computers of latest configuration were built the same year. Sri Jawanthraji Bhandari and family donated Rs. 9,71,000/- towards the establishment of the TAL auditorium named as 'Smt Taramani Jawanthraj Bhandari' TAL Centre. It was refurnished with 40 computers of latest model in the year 2010. The primary computer lab and the middle school computer lab has also been established with the latest configuration of 40 computers in each lab.
Our thanks are also due to Sri Mohanmal Kothari and family who donated Rs.1,91,000/- and the computer laboratory has been named as "Sri Mohanmal Kothari Computer Centre".
The 'Smart Class Programme' commenced in the academic year 2003-04 through 5 technology enabled class rooms (TEC). Our school now boasts of 35 smart class with interactive white board to facilitate better learning. The dynamic and progressive management has thus empowered the teachers with technology, right inside the classroom and access to a host of resources from the Knowledge Centre to which it is connected.
The three science laboratories have been refurnished to the ISO standard in the year 2010-2011.
The Mathematics laboratory, established in June 2004, as per the directive of CBSE is a boon for all the students, as it helps in understanding and comprehending the most difficult concepts in Maths, using the activity method.
English is the global language and our students need to master it. Students are trained in the basic language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing in the English lab which is housed in the second floor of the Nahar block. It has a DVD player, a colour television LCD projector and a computer to play the language CDs.
We have a complete end to end school management system at our school to ensure that our resources are utilized to the maximum. The school is the result of the untiring efforts of Sri Rajasthani Jain Samaj Educational Trust and the number of donors who have donated generously, and we are sure that we will continue to receive their support.
The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education vide CBSE/ AFF. 1930041 with effect from 1.5.83. Our School number is TN 06942.
We now have around 3000 students and well experienced and qualified faculty. We maintain very high standards and provide 'Quality Education' in the true sense of the word. Our vision is to impart, "Education for life, Education for growth and Evolution, and Education of the Heart, to bring about an inner transformation and blossoming of a perfect civilized human being". We continue to work together towards this end.

Vision

It is the school's earnest desire to develop a dynamic personality of the child and to activate the total constitution of the child to plan and achieve the highest objectives of an ideal life in an environment where learning can be optimized and made an enjoyable experience.
