About Institution

RVS College of Education was established in the academic year 2005-2006 by the RVS Educational Trust under the Chairmanship of Dr.K.V.Kupusamy, one of the great educational visionaries and institution builders of our country, over a period of two decades totally dedicated to the cause of education, especially in the field of Medicine, Science, Engineering, Technology and Management. The campus is located in an extensive 200 acres campus on the Coimbatore-Trichy highway. It is an ISO 9001:2008 certified institution. RVS College of Education is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, Chennai, and approved by NCTE. It has a very good team of faculty members with high qualification and experience. It contains well equipped laboratories, separate hostel for boys and girls, a good play ground and fully equipped library that enables students and faculty to meet their academic and intellectual needs. During the last six years of existence in the realm of teacher education, RVS College of Education has produced 600 B.Ed., Graduates with good teaching competent and values and 110 M.Ed. graduates with good research proficiency and commitment in their profession. The idea is to give a strong theoretical and practical orientation to our students so that, they will become market ready when they passed out. We are running two study centres of two universities for B.Ed course, they are Bharathidasan University and Tanjore Tamil University, where the student-teachers are in-service teachers coming from government, Govt. aided schools and private schools in the various parts of the State. So, it helps the faculty members to access the school education system there by giving strong practical teaching knowledge to our regular students.
