About Institution

Pompei College is a Religious and Linguistic Minority Institution founded in 1981 by Rev. Fr Bernard L. D’Souza in order to provide education primarily to the youth of this area. It also fulfills the aspirations of higher education of the locality adding to the cultural content of the society by imparting academic and value education to students of all castes and creeds without distinction. The Catholic Board of Education, Mangalore, manages the college. It is affiliated to the Mangalore University. M.Com, the PG Programme is Introduced In the college for the benefit of the rural youth. I am sure all will agree that this course is a genuine gift to the local society and all the credit for starting the course must go to the correspondent of the college Rev Fr. Paul Pinto for his far sightedness, efforts in mobilizing resources and his organizational abilities. Yes, we agree that it is god’s plan, we are only instruments in executing god’s plan.
