Mount Seena College of Arts & Science , Akalur is a self financing college , affiliated to the University of Calicut . The courses offered are approved by the Government of Kerala. Mount Seena College of Arts & Science is being run under Baith Shariqa Al Khairi Trust , a registered public Charitable trust ; Mr. K.K. Mammunni Moulavi , spearheading many educational and social institution / movements , is the Chairman of Trust. The main aim of the trust is to provide quality education to the public with due concern to the middle class and marginalised sections of this Pathiripala area in particular and the entire Palakkad District in general. Which happens to the most backward district of Kerala. Mount Seena College of Arts & Science got affiliation from Calicut University during 2009 -2010 with permission to start class from 2010 -2011 , enauguaration of this college was held on 3rd July 2010 , enuagurated by honourable M.P of Palakkad Mr.Rajesh M.B and was presided by the chiarman of BSKT , Mammunni Moulavi . It started its functioning in the premises of Mount Seena School Complex and was shifted to present campus on 18.6.2012 . The present campus extends over 15 acres of land in Akalur locality. It started with the goal of emparting knowledge to the poor people in and around pathiripala at low cost.
