K.V. Shikar BSF H.Q. Campus is 22 k.m. from the historical place Batala. The place where Guru Nanak Dev Ji got married to Bibi Sulukhani and it is 4 km. from Dera Baba Nanak, a place where Guru Dev Ji donated his garments. DBN is the closest residential township from International Border. K.V. Shikar is also adjacent to a very important location of Mugal importance- KALANAUR-Crown-ing of Akbar (TAAZ-Poshi) was solemonized here when he was only 13 yrs old.

The Kalanaur is only 15 km. from this K.V. Shikar and privileged to be located inside the Border Security Force H.Q. Campus. The K.V. Shikar though located on the Iinternational Border but it is highly guarded and secured by the dedicated team of B.S.F. personnels.

About K.V. Shikar:- Since its inception Aug 1997 Vidyalaya is running in a BSF building from class I to X. Mostly Vidyalaya is catering the needs of Central Govt. employees mainly BSF and defence, however if vacancy exists civilian students are also admitted. At present there are about 250-300 students. Due to building constraints admisssion is restricted to this number.

However, the BSF has provided 7.5 acre of prime location land on the main road from Batala to DBN. Sangathan has sanctioned building funds about Rs 3.20 crore and Vidyalaya will have its own building and infra structure with in a year.
