Kendriya Vidyalaya (in Hindi : ????????? ????????) is a system of Central Government schools under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The system came into being in 1962 under the name "Central Schools" and has been affiliated with CBSE since then. Later, the name was changed to Kendriya Vidyalaya.

Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jamtara is a civil sector Vidyalaya, It established in 2007. It is located at Girls High School Campus, New Town, near the Jamtara Railway station. The Vidyalaya comes under the jurisdiction of KVS, Regional office, Ranchi.

It's very much on the way to create a tradition of excellence that is bound to lead the way towards an intellectual horizon. The quality of education by highly educated teaching staff and self disciplined habits inculcated in the children are the focus to attract admission in this prestigious institution.

Every year a good number of students of this Vidyalaya compete in the entrance exam of high profile. It is a co-educational institution. It has the classes from I to XII.
