Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), Mumbai established in 1965, is one of the top management institutes of India. The institute was founded by the University of Mumbai (Bombay) in collaboration with the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University, with a donation from Jamnalal Bajaj Seva Trust. JBIMS was established with a view to promote post graduate education in India. The institution has been ranked amongst Asia's Top 25 business schools, by 'Asia Inc'. Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS)'s proximity to Nariman Point, commercial hub of India, gives it an added advantage. JBIMS has provided full-time faculty in the core management disciplines and the functional areas of management, with a panel of eminent management experts and senior practicing managers, from diverse fields of management.
The vision that has inspired the basic philosophy and approach of JBIMS since its inception is that of management thinkers and philosophers deeply entrenched and firmly rooted in the Indian soil. A 2-year full-time MMS programme was thus launched with a view to develop competent high caliber management thinkers and practitioners for efficient running of Indian business and industry.
