Govt. Polytechnic Takhatpur is situated in Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh state. Tatakhatpur is about 30 km form Bilaspur on Bilaspur-Mandla road. This institute started in 1998 and is approved by AICTE New Delhi. Presently this institute is affiliated to CSVTU Bhilai for three year full time Diploma in Engg. courses. This institute offers diploma courses in Mechanical Engg and Electronics & Telecommunication with intake capacity 40 in each branch. Before shifting to new building Govt. Polytechnic Takhatpur was running in a rented building which was situated near J.M.P.College. New building of our institute inaugurated by Dynamic Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Dr. Raman Singh on 12/11/11. New building is situated at village Lidri on Takhatpur Bilaspur main road with huge campus of 34 acres.
