Govindammal Aditanar College for Women (GACW), Tiruchendur was established in 1987 The College was affiliated to the Madurai Kamraj University, but later the affiliation was shifted to the M. S. University, Tirunelveli when the latter was founded. The college is a self-financing institution and does not receive any financial aid from the Government. The college is fully maintained by the munificence of Aditanar Educational Trust. No capitation fee or donation is accepted for admission or appointment.

Vision

To impart quality higher education to girls of this locality and make them to be self-reliant, good and useful citizens and train them with the background of our culture so that they may acquire faith in God and the tradition of our motherland.
