Government polytechnic Mundgod, Started by the Department of Technical Education (DTE) Karnataka, In the Year 2009 at Mundgod Town Uttar Kannada District,, It is one of the developing towns in Uttar Kannada(karwar) District, surrounded by backward rural areas .The northeast of the town is surrounded by forest, It is situated at an altitude of 564 mts, above the mean sea level,It is found on the Hubli-Sirsi State Highway at a distance of 50 kms from Sirsi,and 48km From Hubli and It is at a distance of 137 kms from the District headquarters ( Karwar) and the shortest distance to the capital city Banglore is 387km.
The institution is equipped with all the necessary laboratories, computer centre and Library and sufficient well qualified efficient teaching Staff.
