This college started in 1979 in the form of Department of Law as a part of the Govt. P.G. College now Dr. B R Ambedkar Govt. College, Sriganganagar. As according to the directions of the State Government, this Department of Law was elevated as an independent Law College in June 2005 in accordance with the norms of Bar Council of India. Since 1979, this institution is imparting legal education to the students of the semi-urban and rural area under nominal admission fees and charges. Many of the students of this College have become Judicial Officers, Law Lecturers, Legal Assistants, Public Prosecutors and reputed Lawyers.
This College is imparting legal education under the Three Year Degree Course of LL.B. (Professional) having 120 seats in LL.B. I year. The course of two Year Degree of Master of Laws (LL.M.) has been started in this College from the session of 2008-09 with one section of 20 seats in LL.M. Pt. I.
In the modern era of globalization, opportunities are flourishing and offering wide spectrum of selection in the legal field. At this juncture one needs to make a visionary decision to earn prospects and respect in society for which this institution will provide best of the best material. The teaching of this institution will foster among students quality of social, civic and legal responsibility and harmony in order to cultivate an aptitude for imbibing the knowledge of law.
Extra - curricular activities conducted throughout the session extract the hidden potencies of the young boys and girls and enable them to rediscover themselves as artists and sportsmen. Therefore, the institution aims to make education real, natural and mass oriented, conducive to culture, suitable for harmonious social development of national and global community.
Legal education is the best way to create awareness among people for removing poverty, superstition and exploitation, for which this institution is taking a lead. I am sure this institution would provide a creative platform to the students to express their literally skills and help in fulfilling their ambitions and achievements.
