Gonzaga College is a minority institution which is established and run by the Franciscan Sisters of St. Aloysius Gonzaga in the year 2009 with the affiliation of Periyar University, Salem, at Kathampallam near Elathagiri, on national highway No. 46 that connects Bangalore and Chennai. From Krishnagiri it takes 15 minutes ride by road. The college is situated at the suburb of Krishnagiri with a sprawling campus, which has a Spa like stunning atmosphere to cater the young minds of future generation of women.

The immortal aim of the visionaries of our college is to train young girls to be the qualified leaders, whom we hope will play a pivotal role in bringing about the desired changes for betterment of the people, particularly of the dalits and other poorer and marginalized sections of our society. Our college provides an atmosphere of intellectual vigor, moral rectitude in which our girls may find their fulfillment and achieve greatness as splendid women in policy making and courageous leaders in shouldering the responsibility.

Now there are six departments covering over 1000 girl students. The ultra modern and the state of art amenities available and the student friendly faculty pedagogy adopted by our well informed faculty facilitates the intellectual formation of the young minds to become wisely resourceful for making our nation an artisan well of brain power. Foundation courses and the Outreach programs in Gonzaga make a difference in the lives of the students forming them socially conscious and responsible citizens of the country. The system of periodical teacher-evaluation done by the students has also been welcomed by one and all. Parents-Teachers meetings organized in Gonzaga, ensure periodical monitoring of the progress of their children.
