The college is being run by GOJAN EDUCATIONAL TRUST, Chennai which is started by a great Educationist and Philonthrapist with the high values, ideals, dedication and social commitment. The founder has a great vision of providing all the branches, courses and programmes of Educationional field under one roof of GOJAN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS.
GOJAN COLLEGE OF TEACHER EDUCATION has started functioning in the academic year 2008-09. It offers Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.,) one year programme in the branches of Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physical sciences, Biological Sciences, History, Geography, Economics, Commerce, Social Sciences(Psychology & Socialogy) and Computer Science. It also offers Master of Education (M.Ed.,) one year programme from the academic year 2010-2011.
The college is Approved by the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi and Affiliated to the TamilNadu Teachers Education University, Chennai.
The college is well located in the 80 feet road of Edapalayam(Alamathi), RedHills, Chennai-52 and is well connected through roads and public transport systems. College buses provide easy transportation to the students and the staff across the Chennai city and nearby suburban areas. College Mess provides hygienic Vegetarian food at a very reasonable cost.
The college Infrastructure facilities includes land of 6.34 acres and a separate three-storey building measuring 27,000 sq.ft of built-up area, state-of-art Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Psychology, Educational Technology, Language, Computer laboratories, SUPW and Music rooms, Guidance and Counselling and Placement cell, Medical Centre, Multi purpose halls, Spacious class rooms, Voluminous library, Indoor and Outdoor games facilities in vast playgrounds.
The Academic environment is strengthened by well Educated, Experienced and Dedicated faculty, supporting staff and assistants. Around the college many schools are available for the Teaching practice of Teacher trainees.We are confident, the future teachers, who are going to shape the destiny of our country in their classrooms, will have an enthralling educational journey in the sprawling and naturalistic 80 acre campus of GOJAN
