D.C. Model School was established as a co-educational English medium school in Ferozpur Cantt in the year 1947. By the relentless efforts of great visionary, Late Sh. M.R. Dass, founder principal, the school reached dazzling heights and became a name to reckon with in the fields of education in North India. It has the distinction of being the first Model School of the erstwhile composite Punjab including the present day Himachal Pradesh and Haryana. The school admits children belonging to all the stratas of the society and inculcates in them a spirit of secularism with respect for all religions.
