The evening of 16th November 1957 is the unforgettable moment in the history of this college, That day from behest of koshi, people of this area took a vow for the establishment of college in the office of sub-division of supaul that was held in first established public library and club premises. Well known – renowned, education liking people had passed a proposal and shri Birbar Naryan Singh, was appointed secretary / caretaker. Two social welfare society, National public mela and or Trade Union had generously promised to give fund for the same as a result of this on july 1958 Degree College Supaul started functioning.Apart from that , it requires some more fund , So that by roaming and contacting to the different peoples of distinct villages in all the four direction. But,Koshi prone people had no such capacity, apart from that they manage to provide some funds according to their able capacity by seeing a great enthusiasm to open a college.
Bihar college senate had approved its affiliation upto Graduate level in march 1956. But before starting of the classes, a great problem of depositing of Rs.25000 for college caution money fund had aroused. After that shri Lahton Choudhary secretary of the Koshi Yojna Nirman Board had given a respective fund of Rs. 30000 to college on behalf of Bharat Sevak Society.
As a result of such generosity management committee of this college had changed its name to Bharat Sevak Society College Supaul.
