Jeewan Singh Titiyal is an Indian ophthalmologist, credited with the first live cornea transplant surgery by an Indian doctor. He was honoured by the Government of India, in 2014, by bestowing on him the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award, for his services to the field of medicine. He was born in Tidang, Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, India. Tidang, Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, India. He graduate form All India Institute of Medical Sciences and MD (Ophthalmology) from Dr. Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, AIIMS, New Delhi.  He did his senior residency in cornea and refractive unit of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, AIIMS. He has been on the faculty since January 1991, where he is currently an Additional Professor in cornea and refractive surgery Unit. His field of Specialization includes Corneal diseases, Keratoplasty, Refractive Surgery, Stem Cell Transplantation, Contact lens, LVA and Cataract including Phacoemulsification and Pediatric cataract.

He has been actively involved in Community services, has done numerous free comprehensive Eye Care camps in various parts of the country. He has performed first IOL camp at Rewari (Haryana) and has been member of special Eye Camps in Andaman and Nicobar in 1992, Mega Eye Camp Orissa Oct.1998 and Shillong (Meghalya) Sept. 2003. He was member faculty of training to trainer program of Ministry of health and family welfare Govt. of India. Trivendram (Kerala) Sept. 2001.
