Tintu Luka is an Indian track and field athlete who competes in the 800 metres and 400 metres. She is the national record holder in the women's 800-metre race. She is coached by P.T. Usha at the Usha School of Athletics, Koyilandy, Kerala, and is supported by Olympic Gold Quest.She was awarded Arjuna award by Government of India in 2014. Tintu Luka was born on 21st April 1989 in Iritty in Kannur in Kerala. She broke the 15 years old national record of Shiny Wilson in 2010 in the 800 meters event. She won silver medal in the 800 meter race at the Asian Junior Athletics Championship held at Jakarta in Indonesia in 2008. In 800 m event at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, she was able to get only the sixth place. She won bronze in the 800 meters event at the Asian Games 2010. She finished up in sixth place in the 800 meters semi-finals at the London Olympics 2012. She was given 2 lakh rupees by the Government of Kerala for her performance and also provided a job.
