Asma Jilani Jahangir(born 27 January 1952) is a Pakistani lawyer.Asma Jahangir is a founding member of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, and has served as Secretary-General and later Chairperson of the organization. On 27 October 2010, Jahangir was elected as President of Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan and played a prominent role in the Lawyers' Movement.,the first woman to hold the position. She has co-chaired South Asia Forum for Human Rights and is the vice president of International Federation for Human Rights.She received North–South Prize in 2012.
