VIVEKANANDA COLLEGE OF ARTS & SCIENCES FOR WOMEN was started in the year 1995 with a view to provide quality education to young and aspiring women students. It is well established institute offering quality education in a nourishing environment to prepare the young generation for the challenges of tomorrow. It is affiliated to Periyar University and approved by AICTE. At present there are about 8500 students in the college, making it the largest women's college under Periyar University. Our motto is "The hand that rocks the cradle should rule the world" and to achieve the same, our chairman has established Vivekananda College of arts and sciences for women to impart a life education with various career-oriented and non-conventional courses.It has gained wide recognition including the accreditation with the NAAC (NATIONAL ASSESSMENT AND ACCREDITATION COUNCIL) in July 2009. Autonomous status is given to the college in 2011.
