About Institution

VIDYAVATI MUKANDLAL GIRLS COLLEGE, GHAZIABAD established in 1961, founded by great educationist Seth Shri Jai Prakash Ji is run under the aegis of ‘Vidya Kendra’. The college is affiliated to Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut and is a Grant-in-aid institution recognized by the U.G.C under 2 (f) and 12 (B). The college has grown to become a premier institution of higher education in the state over the last five decades. Completing its 50 years of existence, it has celebrated its Golden Jubilee this year. It was first accredited by NAAC in 2004 and then was selected by the U.G.C. for Award of College of Potential for Excellence in 2007. Both the events have helped to college to rediscover itself. The setting up of IQAC, Guidance and Counseling services, Research Centre, Computer laboratory, Language Laboratory, Studio have all contributed to the development, sustenance and enhancement of the quality of the institute and have given a good impetus to the institution’s progress. The college believes in thinking globally and acting locally. It appreciates the importance of need based regional, national and global level academics and its vision is in line with the dimensions of higher education. The college follows the curriculum designed by the University that covers the basic, applied and professional aspects with emphasis on knowledge, skills, societal development and employability. It has institutionalized the various innovative steps of teaching learning and evaluation. Equal importance is being given to the research consultancy and extension services. It has developed essential infrastructural facilities and learning resources. It takes sincere efforts to ensure student facility and support simultaneously obtaining the student feedback on college evaluation. Several innovative practices are in place.
