Govt. Eng. College Ramgarh is as an Institution under Public Private Partnership between the Government of Jharkhand and Techno India Group. Ramgarh was made a district on 12th September, 2007. Erstwhile it was a part of Hazaribagh District. Ramgarh lying at the heart of the Jharkhand State, is a mining, industrial and cultural hub with the famous Maa Chhinnamasta Temple at Rajarappa . The Ramgarh district is rich in minerals. The district has a large and rich deposit of coal & coal bed methane (CBM) and also has various other minerals like Limestone, Fire Clay, etc. everal mineral based industries like Steel, Sponge Iron, Cement, Refractory and Thermal Power Plant etc. are established due to availability of Coal and other minerals.
