About Institution

St. Mary’s English Medium was founded in the year 1996. It is located in Anandh Nagar, Barwani, near Barwani P. College, with a serene, healthy and clean environment; away from the noise pollution of Barwani. It is a Private Institution run by the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ, Sisters whose Generalate (Mother house) is in Germany. It is a registered Society known as Katherine Kasper Social Service Society, in Dhar at Dhani. (Madhya Pradesh) “The destiny of India is being shaped in her Class Rooms”.

St. Mary’s is a co-ed School, where young boys and girls grow up in a happy and healthy environment of equality and mutual respect. Children are taught to understand and express themselves in English right from the starting class. St. Mary’s can boast of its well trained, experienced and dedicated staff that handles the little ones with motherly care in the class rooms as well as in the ground.

This Christian Institute represents Jesus’ values to the people of Barwani and its surroundings areas by providing quality education to every tiny tot. God has blessed this Institution abundantly and it remains ever grateful to God Almighty, to our General Superior Sr. Mary Jolise May and her Team in Germany, and our Provincial Superior Sr. Mary Sunitha and her Team in Bangalore.

Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ Sisters extends their ministry at Barwani and its surrounding villages in the state of Madhyapradesh through Education and Social work. The children and youth are formed and moulded with values to become responsible citizens through the class rooms of St. Mary’s Senior Secondary School, Maria Nivas Boarding, Asha Balamandir and Little Planet.
