About Institution

Sri Sarada College of Physical Education for women salem was started in the year 1982 as an affiliated college of the University of Madras by Yatiswari Sarada Priya Amma under the benign grace and presidentship of srimath swami Chidbhavananda of Sri Ramakrishna Tapovanam, Tirupparaithurai. Since 2006 Sri Sarada College of Physical Education for Women, is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is a Tamil Nadu Government Aided institution and has received 2f status from University Grants Commission(UGC) from 2012 - 13. It is one among the premier Institutions in South India, which provides quality education since its inception in early nineties to the women students. The Institution strongly believes that empowerment of women is the first step towards developing a healthy society. Empowering rural women with affordable education with a blend of spirituality forms the main focus of the institution. The women students from rural areas and economically weaker sections have been immensely benefited by the education provided by the Institution.
