Shree Gokarnanatheshwara College of Education is governed and managed by a charitable trust – Shree Venkatesha Shiva Bhakthi Yoga Sangha, Karnataka Societies Act. The governing body of the downtrodden people of the society. It believes in making the downtrodden community strong and self reliant through strength of unity and spread of the most needed education. The establishment of an educational institution is the only way out. Accordingly Shree Gokarnanatheshwara College, saw the light of the day in the year 1982 and has dedicated itself since then, for the cause of social justice and this institution would not have come into existence, but for his timely help.

The Scholastic achievements of the students stand out as a testimony to the concerted endeavour, which is put in by three different levels, i.e. teachers, support staff and enlightened management. Shree Gokarnanatheshwara College has grown in its own unique style and has been shaping the destiny of thousand of students with good head and heart, composed with competence and excellence.
