Seth R.L. Saharia Government P.G. College Kaladera (Jaipur), Rajasthan (accredited B+ Grade by NAAC) is situated about 10 K.M. from Chomu (off Jaipur-Bikaner National Highway No- 11) on the Chomu – Renwal State highway in Kaladera village. The foundation of this institution was laid in 1959 by the renowned philanthropist (late) Rai Bahadur Shri Rameshwar Lal Saharia. His aim and focus was to facilitate higher education for students coming from the rural surroundings. The college began functioning under a management committee comprising of the then Chief Minister H’ble Shri Mohan Lal Sukhadia, Education Secretary, Director College education, Govt. of Rajasthan and (late) Shri R.L. Saharia. The administrative block as is visible today along with four science laboratories, each for Physics, Chemistry, Zoology and Botany and the library building were established at the time of its inception. Two seminar halls and a science laboratory were constructed with the help of U.G.C. funding. The college was handed over to the state Govt. in 1960 and since then it has been functioning as a full fledged Government institution. On 22 Nov., 1995 the then Education Minister made an announcement declaring the college as a P.G. college and on 14 Dec. 1995 the college commenced P.G. in all the three departments of Commerce.
The institution has been declared to be developed as a 'Model College' and we aspire to be one in the real sense of the word. This will be achieved by providing an ambience conducive to qualitative higher education along with an all round physical and intellectual development by laying stress on moral and ethical values. Based in a rural area, it caters to the rural and predominantly poor students who have no access to expensive city education. We hope to empower the students not only with the regular academic degrees but also career oriented and professional education in various realms. The institution foresees it self as a centre of excellence in higher education acting as a placement centre and helping the students in acquiring necessary skills, abilities, aptitude and technical know – how, which are extremely essential in this age of globalization.
