About Institution

Ramthakur College was born with an idea of overcoming a dearth of colleges in Agartala. Sri Promod Ranjan Bhatta took the initiative and in July 17 th 1967 the college came into being in Town Pratapgarh in a 6 room structure. Later it shifted to the present complex in the year 1982. Presently the college has all Arts, Science and Commerce streams with approximately 3000 students.
