New Kendriya Vidyalayas

The Union HRD ministry, Prakash Javadekar approved two new Kendriya Vidyalayas in Uttar Pradesh & Madhyapradesh. one of which will be in Rae Bareli, the Lok Sabha constituency of Sonia Gandhi.
Mr. Prakash Javadekar announced this during an informal interaction with reporters. He denied that the decision to have KVS in Rae Bareli was linked to the upcoming assembly election in the state. He said the process was already on when he took over as the minister.
Apart from KVS for Railway Coach Factory in Rae Bareli, time adjustment has been done for already functional KVS in Pilibhit. Now classes for class XI will be run in second shifts. Third KVS will be in BSF Academy, Takenpur (MP). KVS in Rae Bareli was among 50 proposed by UPA II.
