About Institution

Dhuliyan, a traditional trade centre, inhabited by more than 3 lacs of people, has a far reaching satelite network of more than fifty hamlets, mostly populated by education hungry poor villagers of religions minority communily. The near by college at Aurangabad and Farakka are situated at some distances of more than 12 k.m. from the site of this college. These colleges may have fed the needs of affluent students who can provide the daily fare. But the establishment of this college at Dhuliyan fulfils the dream of Higher Education for the poor students, especially the girls. Nur Mohammad Smriti Mahavidyalaya is situated at Dhuliyan in the district of Murshidabad. It is situated beside N.H. 34 betwen Jubilee Filling Station and Tarapur Hospital. The College started functionaning in its beautiful new building a few years back. Construction of another building beside the main building is just finished. The college is surrounded by a beautiful and pastoral setting. It has a nice play ground covered with green grass.
