About Institution

Nitishwar Mahavidyalaya, Muzaffarpur, situated in the heart of the town, a constituent unit of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur is an easy-to-access co-educational institution.
Since its inception in 1970, the college has been developing itself in order to keep pace with the changing socio-cultural scenario. Nitishwar Mavidyalaya was founded by late Nitishwar Prasad Singh, freedom fighter and popular leader. He was immensely interested in motivating people towards literary and academic creativity. This led him to establish a number of literary and educational institutions. Nitishwar Mahavidyalaya and also Suhrid Sangh, situated within the campus of the college, are such live examples of the creative endeavors of Nitishwar Babu. The college remembers and pays tributes to great soul of Bihar and also gets recharged with the ideals of Nitishwar Babu on 6th February every year. The day is celebrated as Nitishwar Punya Smriti Diwas.

Vision

In order to contribute substantially to the nation building processes in independent India, youth must be well equipped with knowledge- both theoretical and practical. This requires knowledge to be within the reach of every Indian, stationed even on the grassroots level. Secondly, the force of knowledge must be guided by certain fundamental moral values. Although acquiring higher education may be one immediate goal of for aspirants, the real value of education is proved by the extent to which it caters to the needs of the masses, creates awareness in the society and ushers into the direction where lies the unity, integrity and prosperity of our nation, well protected from all evils.

Our mission is to make higher education easily accessible to all equip the students with modern world view, make them capable enough to their independently, work with dedication and a team spirit, learn to combine judiciously modernity with tradition and develop themselves to the peak of their chosen field.
