About Institution

The beacon of technical education has heralded a revolution in the Biotechnology Education scenario of Odisha and its bordering regions of Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand and West Bengal."09 years of Tradition of excellence in Biotechnology Education, Research and Innovations" MITS School of Biotechnology (MSB) came into existence in the year 2003 to cater the needs of Indian industries for trained technical manpower with practical experience and sound theoretical knowledge in the field of Biotechnology. The founders had a clear and well defined mission- to build an unaided, self -financed institution with an objective to produce technically and professionally equipped new generation scientist.
MITS School of Biotechnology (MSB) is one of the premier Biotech College Founded by Basantadevi Charitable Trust. The institution, ever since its foundation is in the constant pursuit of keeping high the self imposed standards of excellence. QUALITY, MODERNITY AND HIGH DEGREE OF SCIENTIFIC TEMPERAMENT pervade every facet of the institution, be it technical education, laboratories or infrastructure facilities. The campus is the abode of discipline, harmony and intellectual pursuit and abuzz with intense academic activity. The main drive behind MITS is Mr. BalKrishna Panda, an enlightened visionary, our founder Chairman. He has spared no efforts to induct dedicated faculty and provide adequate infrastructure facilities.
The College is located at the serene and suburbs of Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha. Complementing the consummate setting is the strikingly elegant campus of MSB that is home to the contemporary educational infrastructure, competent faculty and comprehensive support facilities. MSB is an avenue for undergraduate and post graduate courses. MSB was the first professional college in Bhubaneswar to offer M.Sc in Bio-Technology, Bio-Informatics, B.Sc in Biotechnology & BCA, BBA and M-Tech in Computer Science combining an internationally recognized Masters course with essential professional qualifications in the fields of Biotechnology, Bioinformatics & Information Technology. This spirit of innovation continues to drive the development of our unique programme. MITS School of Biotechnology (MSB) is affiliated to Utkal University University, Govt. of Orissa.
