The Institute was inaugurated by Late Dr. S.Radhakrishanan, then President of India and Chief Patron of the Institute on December 10, 1965 in the Central Hall of Parliament House, The Institute of Constitutional and Parliamentry Studies is a unique institution in the field of Constitutional Law and Parliamentry Affairs and providing a bridge among the Parliamentrians, the Academics, the Practitioners and the Researchers.The library has a collection of over 30,000 volumes consisting of books, reports and peroidicals. The Institute publish over 100 books ( English- 80, Hindi- 20), covering a wide range of subjects. Some of well known pulications are : Law and Poverty, Cases and Materials; The Union and States; Parliamentry Committees in India; Social Justice and Law; Parliament and Administration in India; Fundamental Rights and Constitutional Amendments; Indian Political Parties; Election and Electorial Reforms in India; Fedral and Financial Relation in India and The Role of Private Members in Parliament.
