About Central University of Tamil Nadu
The University Library was established in the year 2009 and it serves mainly the students, faculty members and non-teaching staff of the university. The library has a collection of about 11,800 books. Of these, more than 1,500 books are catalogued as reference books and the rest are Textbooks, Handbooks, Dictionaries, Encyclopedias and coloured atlases. Besides the printed books, the library also has 104 CDs/DVDs and subscribes to 13 print journals. In addition to these, the library has access to UGC Infonet Consortium for e-Resources, an online journal consortium funded by the UGC. The library is in constant touch with consortium agencies like UGC Infonet for inclusion and addition of new journals and databases to support the new academic programmes.
