ITM Public School (E.M), Mayyil had a humble ITM PUBLIC SCHOOL, MAYYILLOGO beginning as a nursery school in1999. When the demand for converting this into a full fledged English medium School comes up from the parents and the public of Mayyil and its peripherals, the Trust has converted the nursery into a school in the year 2004. The Trust aimed to provide quality education among the children of the area who are otherwise denied to this, due to poor educational and financial conditions, especially in Mayyil and Kuttiattoor villages. As such majority of children who got admitted to the school in this catchment area are from financially backward families. To encourage the children to pursue knowledge, the Trust has been extending fee concession to those children of very poor families, who are academically better.
The set objective of the school is to impart education in English medium, apart from training for all round development of the body, mind, and soul. Along with secular education, moral instruction is also offered. Besides, it utilizes all chances to nourish the inherent talents of the children, help them mould worthy character and habits, and attain excellence in physical activities.
