With a vision to kindle the flame of knowledge among the youth of Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, Sh. Thakur Lal Chandail began with a humble beginning of 25 students under the one room school in 1977. Later Sh. OP Chandail joined him in 1982 to forward the mission. Steadily the strength of students grew from 25 to 400 and presently the school houses over 1200 students. Withstanding the test of time and continuing the stride against illiteracy the school has established itself as a brand name in Doda for over three and a half decades.
