Gayatri Shaktipeeth Kanya Mahavidyalaya, a College providing quality education exclusively for girls, affiliated to the MDS University, Ajmer, Located in front of the New Bus Stand Pushkar, offers Graduate Programme.
This college was founded by reverend pandit Shri Ram Sharma "Acharya JI" in 1988. The College started with a handful of girls and today the strength has increased to about 312 students who are expanding their wings to fly. It was a sight of "Gurudev" and "Vandaniya Mataji" to eradicate illiteracy among the girls in the near span of 100 kms of Pushkar for women it is not only diffecult to commute daily but also unaffordable. Our College is a significant step forward in the field of women education. Though several women of nearby villages wish to continue their higher studies, they do not find the facility of good women's institute at the nearest. This college has students from Pisangan, Peeh, Thanwala, Nand, Degana, Govindgarh, Kadail, Tehla, Dodiyana, Bherunda, Mertacity, Padukalan, Riyan Bari, Jash Nagar ect.
The learned and experienced faculty members are committed to provide quality education along with the development of talent and skills of each individual student helping them achieve highest potential. Special emphasis is laid on personality development by interacting, probing, discussing and leading the students to a deeper understanding.
Students are giving an opportunity to participate in carious co-curricular activities-sports, art and craft ect. not only in the college but also in intercollegiate competitions.
We have a library well stocked with a collection of 3600 books on various subjects. Several newspapers, magazines, Indian and International books, journals and publications enrich the library. Students have the facility to get the books issued.
Students have the facility of using and learning computer in our well equipped computer lab.
NSS unit is yet another feather in our cap which teaches students to tackle difficult and complex problems by deep conceptual understanding of practical areas as well as society and its application by visiting villages and helping the villagers.
Students are taken on excursions and educational tours every year.
