Maneckji Cooper Education Trust School was founded by the Late Mr.Jehangir Maneckji Cooper, in memory of his late father Mr.Maneckji Bejonji Cooper, an educationist of great renown, to whom Sir W.W.Hunter of the Education Commission of 1882 had paid a glowing tribute in the following words:
"Had there been five more men in the whole of India of the caliber and understanding of Mr.Cooper, this Education Commission would never have been appointed because he alone had solved the problem of the Commission."
Maneckji Cooper Nursery School, inaugurated on the 15th of September 1959 was thus a fitting tribute paid by the sole surviving son Mr.Jehangir Cooper, to the revered memory of the worthy father. Mr.Maneckji Cooper, at the time of the inauguration, had prayed that "This Nursery School be a model at least in India." The progress of the Maneckji Cooper Education Trust School during the last 46 years has proved that the sincere prayer of the Donor has come true and the beautiful Nursery founded by him has now blossomed into a full fledged first rate High School in the sublevels, preparing the students for the Delhi Council's I.C.S.E. Examinations. In a span of 46 years, the M.C.E.T. School has been able to achieve the ideals of higher education through the concentrated efforts of a cooperative team of Trustees, a highly qualified and experienced Staff and very helpful and understanding Parents.
