About Institution

This college, started in the mill area of Indore in 1982, is today firmly established as the only Government aided institution of higher education for girls in east Indore. Commercialization and profit making has never been our motive. We wish to develop our students as a mix of tradition and modernity as worthy citizens with knowledge and values that will contribute positively to the betterment of family, society, nation and the world at large. Our students need to face the challenges of life with dignity and courage without compromising on ethical and moral values. Let us all work together for this vision.

Vision

The Object was to provide higher ed-ucation to the daughters of the Mill workers or labourers, who in the absence of a Girl's College in the vicinity of the homes as also due to social inhibitions got deprived of Higher education on the whole. The College was started with 47 Girls students on roll in the BA Course. From 1990 onwards the Cotton Textile Mill of the city gradually began to face closure. The labour class became jobless. It was a social crisis of immense human magnitude. Even at that time, the college continued providing low-Cost education to these daughter of the jobless mill workers.
