Birkha Bahadur Muringla is one of the eminent writers in Limboo literature. Muringla was born on April 13, 1943. He studied in Tashi Namgyal Academy and Darjeeling Government College (TT). The contribution of Mr Muringla to literature is outstanding. The 73-year-old writer and musician is from Lingchom village in West Sikkim. He will receive the Padma Shri in 2017 for his contribution to Limboo language and literature.
