Mouma Das is a table-tennis player from West Bengal, India. She was awarded the Arjuna Award in 2013. She participated in the 2004 Olympic Games where she competed in the singles table tennis competition. Mouma Das was born on 24th February 1984 in Madhyamgram near Kolkata in West Bengal. She started to play table tennis when she was nine years old and ranks second in India in the game. Her father's name is Asit Kumar Das and he is instrumental in shaping the career of his daughter in table tennis and making her the national champion. She was trained by Shri Jayanta Kumar Pushilal who made her take part in junior level competitions. She was shot into limelight after bagging bronze medal in 2001 Commonwealth Games that was held at New Delhi. She regularly plays at Narkeldanga Sadhanan Samiti.
She knows Hindi, Bengali and English and has completed her higher secondary education. She represented India in 17th Asian T.T. Championships held at Korea, in World Table Tennis Championship at Germany, in Brazil and Chile Open, in German and Polish Open, in 15th Asian Games at Doha in 2007, in Golden Racket T.T. Tournament at Vietnam, in International Open T.T. Tournament at Indonesia, in Pyongy and International T.T. Tournament at DPR Korea and in Austria, France and German Open. She has won bronze medal in Commonwealth Games Women's team and individual event and gold medal in singles and doubles in the SAF Games. She also has won senior singles and doubles championship thrice.
