On behalf of the Graduate Student Association of Iranians at Duke (GSAID), I would like to welcome you to one of the finest and most prestigious universities in the country. We are very excited and looking forward to having you in our community and hope that Duke University will fulfill your expectations by offering you the best of both worlds- exceptional educational and cultural experiences. GSAID was founded with a main charter of bringing students to understanding and appreciating the rich Persian culture, art and history, through cultural, social and recreational activities. Our mission is to participate in the enhancement of the university's diversity and existing multicultural framework to strive and foster friendship among different cultural groups and provide a source of union and support for Iranian communities at Duke and other adjacent universities in the Triangle area.
